Rigid religious environments often emphasize cognitive assent above all else: "if I believe correctly, then I am okay." That's why, in my work, I like to approach healing from a somatic lens, because we are not just our beliefs. We are holistic, embodied humans with experiences that shape us. Getting in touch with your own bodily knowing is a meaningful starting point for self-trust, for confidence, and for peace.
