Goals of Supervision

As a clinical supervisor, my primary goal is to empower you with an ethical, evidence-based, and trauma-informed foundation as you get started in the counseling profession. In our supervision sessions, we'll discuss client cases, therapeutic interventions, ethical considerations, documentation, and strategies for maintaining a sustainable work-life balance.

Ultimately, my hope is that you'll finish supervision with the tools you need to be a confident independent clinician who can build a sustainable practice, protect client well-being, and promote lasting healing.

Specialties + Modalities

My primary specialties are religious and spiritual trauma, childhood trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ experiences. I love supporting folks from high-control groups and/or families who are exploring identity, finding new meaning, or navigating complex relationship dynamics.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy and the modalities I align with most are existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, parts work, attachment theory, and EMDR. I pull from my counseling experience in a variety of settings - from crisis work to private practice - to offer trauma-informed care that meets the client where they are. More about me.

Contact

If you're interested in meeting with me to see if we'd be a good fit, please email me or fill out the contact form.

My Approach

I view my role as a supporter and collaborator for you to consult with as an equal. To me, successful supervision is cultivating your confidence in your own clinical intuition and ethical decision-making, rather than telling you the "right way" to be a counselor.

Counseling is a tough profession and burnout is extremely common, so I'll check in with you frequently about how you're feeling, both in and out of session. In order to serve our clients well, we all need to practice honest self-reflection about our energy, our biases and areas for growth. I'll do my best to take a stance of curiosity and non-judgment so we can both learn and grow through our time in supervision.

Requirements + Rates

Before we get started, you'll need to have an active license as an LPC-Associate in Texas or an LMHC-Associate in Washington. I'm comfortable supervising work with adult clients, couples, and teens (13+). I don't manage a group practice, so you'll need to have a separate counseling site lined up where you see clients as an associate.

Associates are required to get four hours of supervision per month and my rate is $150 per session (billed monthly.) If finances are a barrier, please contact me about sliding scale options.

Lastly, I conduct all supervision sessions virtually through a HIPAA-compliant platform, so you'll need a secure internet connection.
