Healing begins with being heard. I specialize in working with people who are deconstructing from high-demand religions. I have lived experience of growing up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS/Mormon). While every person's experience is uniquely their own, you won't have to spend time educating me on the language, culture, expectations, and nuances that exist in the church. I also work with people deconstructing from other faiths.
Many times people leave a high-demand religion and think "Now what?" Many times people realize they don't know what they now believe and don't even know themselves. Their life, personality, choices, everything has been prescribed for them. I hold space to explore these questions and the grief that can accompany them.
I also specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ who are leaving and deconstructing from high-demand religion. Often church expectations create a unique experience and intersection with the queer experience, often resulting in shame and a rejection of one's own worth and value. I offer gender affirming care for trans, non-binary, and those exploring their gender identity.
